We care about your privacy and personal information and will not give away any of your personal information unless we are required to (processing credit card), you tell us to (you ask us to give your information to someone) or we are required to by law (we will do our best to inform you if we have to do this).
We will protect personal information by using reasonable security safeguards against loss or theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.
We do our best not to trick you. If we ask you to share some information that you don’t feel like sharing then let us know. If you choose this option we may not be able to continue to do our job, but that is your choice.
We use Cloudways (based in Malta) as hosting provider, and DigitalOcean (based in US) as hosting. These companies don’t log very much information and are necessary to run this website.
We use Cloudflare to protect our site (to protect where we host the site and against DDOS attacks), cloudflare does record your visit in their logs but it’s usually deleted within 4 hours. Cloudflare is based in the US.
We also have Wordfence installed on this site, Wordfence does set cookies. To find out what cookies Wordfence sets read their website.
We use Matomo in-house for analytics, these stats are stored on our server only for our records. We anonymize the last byte of your IP address (so we see 192.168.0.0) and if you have do not track enabled on your browser then we do not track you. We will keep the data for as long as possible (or until we run out of storage space).
We keep logs of any 404 errors for a week, so we can redirect any pages that have been changed. We anonymize the IP address (mask last part). These logs are kept on our own servers.
Almost all images load from Cloudinary (Based in the US) to speed up load times.
We use an image based captcha on our contact forms to stop spammers, the images load from font awesome but are not GDPR compliant.
We use various services for our company, email is based in Norway, we use Glip to keep anything (task, notes, etc…) which is based in the US. These services are not optional when you contact us, or do business with us. We use these tools daily.
We collect any information you provide to us (either via form on site, email, call, text, business card or any other method) to contact you and work with you (or hopefully get business from you). We may keep this information forever so we can easily contact you in the future. If there is any information about you that you want us to correct please email us.
We will keep all data related to a paying customer for at least 6 years (Canada Income Tax). All other data we may delete when we feel it is necessary.
If you are a previous client of ours we may backup your data to an offsite server for safe keeping and having the ability to quickly get that data back if we or you need it for any reason.
If you wish to request access to the data we have on you please email us and give us 14 business days to process your request.
If you wish for us to remove your personal data (also known as “the right to be forgotten”) then please email us and give us 7 business days then we will delete all personal data we have on you. We cannot remove your personal data from Cloudflare as they remove the data on a timed basis. If you wish for us to delete your personal data from Matomo please email us your ip address (take a screenshot of https://whatismyipaddress.com) and provide proof that you are who you say you are (as an example, have your email address on your website, tell us where to find it and have your whois data public).
On certain pages & content we may include third-party advertisements to support our site. Some of these advertisers may use technology such as cookies and web beacons when they advertise on our site, which will also send these advertisers, information including your IP address, your ISP , the browser you used to visit our site, and in some cases, whether you have Flash installed. This is generally used for geotargeting purposes (showing New York real estate ads to someone in New York, for example) or showing certain ads based on specific sites visited (such as showing cooking ads to someone who frequents cooking sites).
We may add embedded content from another site to any page on this site, we will try to use a privacy mode when adding this but we may not be able to for every content. Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website, so they may collect everything about you.
We use a social media share bar at the bottom of all pages. These respect your privacy by not sharing any information with the social network until you click on the button to share. You can find more about this over at WordPress.org.
We do not currently use heatmaps, as we consider them an invasion of privacy.
This website is not meant for those under the age of 13, if you are under the age of 13 please leave the website now.
We use a status page so we are public about the downtime (and uptime) of our website. This status page is hosted by UptimeRobot.
We offer free products from time to time to encourage you to become a customer of ours. We use your email address to not only send you the product but sometimes to send you emails afterwards, the afterwards email are on a opt-in basis.
