We care about your privacy and personal information and will not give away any of your personal information unless we are required to (processing credit card), you tell us to (you ask us to give your information to someone) or we are required to by law (we will do our best to inform you if we have to do this).
We will protect personal information by using reasonable security safeguards against loss or theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.
We do our best not to trick you. If we ask you to share some information that you don’t feel comfortable sharing then let us know. If you choose this option we may not be able to continue to do our job, but that is your choice.
We use Matomo in-house for analytics, these stats are stored on our server only for our records. We anonymize the last byte of your IP address (so we see 192.168.0.0) and if you have do not track enabled on your browser then we do not track you. We will keep the data for around 400 days then only the general data is kept for statistical reasons.
We keep logs of any 404 errors for a week, so we can redirect any pages that have been changed. We anonymize the IP address (mask last part). These logs are kept on our own servers.
We track any of the affiliate links on our site (they usually go /suggests/), we only keep track of how clicks in general are made, we don’t know your IP address, or any data about what browser you are using. If you do purchase something using any of our affiliate links we make a small commission, the only details we know are when you bought it, the sale amount, and what company you bought from.
We no longer use Cloudinary to store and display our images. They may still show on our website until the cache clears out. All images are stored and displayed from our server.
We use an accessibility toolbar to make it easier for everyone to use our website. The current accessibility toolbar is provided by WP Accessibility.
We use various services for our company, email is based in Norway, we use Glip to keep track of tasks which is based in the US, we use EspoCRM based on our own servers for almost anything else related to you. These services are not optional when you contact us, or do business with us. We use these tools daily and may change services without notice.
We collect any information you provide to us (either via form on site, email, call, text, business card or any other method) to contact you and work with you (or hopefully get business from you). We may keep this information forever so we can easily contact you in the future. If there is any information about you that you want us to correct please email us.
We will keep all data related to a paying customer for at least 6 years (Canada Income Tax). All other data we may delete when we feel it is necessary.
If you are a previous client of ours we may backup your data to an offsite server for safe keeping and having the ability to quickly get that data back if we or you need it for any reason.
If you wish to request access to the data we have on you please email us and give us 14 business days to process your request.
If you wish for us to remove your personal data (also known as “the right to be forgotten”) then please email us and give us 7 business days then we will delete all personal data we have on you. If you wish for us to delete your personal data from Matomo please email us your ip address (take a screenshot of https://whatismyipaddress.com) and provide proof that you are who you say you are (as an example, have your email address on your website, tell us where to find it and have your whois data public).
On certain pages & content we may include third-party advertisements to support our site. Some of these advertisers may get information including your IP address, your ISP , the browser you used to visit our site. All these advertisements are text-based.
We may add embedded content from another site to any page on this site, we will try to use a privacy mode when adding this but we may not be able to for every content. Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website, so they may collect everything about you.
We use a social media share bar at the bottom of all pages. These respect your privacy by not sharing any information with the social network until you click on the button to share. You can find more about this over at WordPress.org.
We may show a banner at the top of this website. This banner does get your browser to reach out to Cloudflare twice to be able to store a cookie when you close the banner (so it doesn’t appear again), and to get the date set to show and remove the banner when we want to. We currently do not have control over changing this to a more privacy friendly option and are looking at other banner options.
We do not currently use heatmaps, as we consider them an invasion of privacy.
This website is not meant for those under the age of 13, if you are under the age of 13 please leave the website now.
We use a status page so we are public about the downtime (and uptime) of our website. This status page is hosted by UptimeRobot.
We offer free products from time to time to encourage you to become a customer of ours. We use your email address to not only send you the product but sometimes to send you emails afterwards, the afterwards email are on a opt-in basis.
If you have any privacy-specific concerns you may email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will do our best to answer them.
If we receive an valid Canadian court order to disclose information we will comply with the orders, we will do our best to inform you but there are times when that may not be possible (gag order, or another legal reason).
